Online Stay at Home Jobs

If you haven’t heard of Wealthy Affiliate yet then you are probably still looking for a legit way of making money online. That doesn’t surprise me given how hard it is to find something online that isn’t a scam. But I personally have been making money online for nearly 3 years now (wow!) because of them. I found Wealthy Affiliate after looking for something legitimate for almost 2 years…I joined in February of 2009 and haven’t looked back since. I am actually still a member of WA because it is a great place to learn, a nice community of people, and it helps me to stay on top of all of the changes that can happen with the internet.

Even though I have seen some members come and go because perhaps it wasn’t the right fit at the time for their current life situation, I have also seen many people return and later kick themselves for ever leaving. I find it very hard to believe that this February will mark my 3 year anniversary with WA.

The best stay at home jobs allow you to make the money you need while still allowing you to live the life that you want. While this may sound like a dream come true and too good to be true, the reality is that they do exist you just have to know where to find them and then have the commitment to see that they work. Unlike a paid job that does take discipline to go to everyday (especially if you hate it), there is just something different about working for yourself. Even though it can be great, it can also be difficult to make sure you stay on task and complete the work that is necessary in order to bring in the cash.

So if you are looking for a stay at home job, the first thing you need to ask yourself is are you up to the task? Do you have what it takes to make it work? It isn’t that the best stay at home jobs are hard, it is more so that the best ones take time to get off the ground and most people don’t have the patience for it. Speaking from experience though, I happen to know that the #1 stay at home job, internet marketing, while also the hardest mentally, it is the best financially as well. The sky is the limit once you get something working, you just have to know what to do and then constantly take action.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the set it up and leave it businesses that claim you’ll get passive income once things are in place. The downfall to these is that they don’t really work, not long term. But internet marketing does work, like everything else in life you have to find the area that works for you and then set up shop and take the necessary action to keep it working. In the end you will be making passive income, but that doesn’t happen right away and even though you can walk away to a certain extent and still make money, this kind of work is actually fun and to keep the money coming in consistently it is likely you’ll want to be active in your business even if on a part-time basis later on.

So why is internet marketing the best stay at home job and how can you get started? Internet marketing is a complicated term for an easy process. People are always shopping online and they are always doing research online, all you have to do is help them find what they are looking for and then earn a commission for your trouble when a purchase is made. You can do this by setting up a website and talking about things that interest you, reviewing products that people are interested in buying or simply writing articles and directing people to merchant sites like Amazon.com.

If you can write an article like this one on any topic of your choosing and you can do this each and everyday, then you can have one of the best stay at home jobs around. You don’t have to sell makeup, or be a part of some bigger franchise in order to work from home. You can be self-employed, work when you want, how you want and anywhere you want. If you have a laptop you can work on the beach if you want; I haven’t done that yet, but I have made money while jogging on the beach, it is always nice to make money when you are on vacation.
