Online Stay at Home Jobs

If you are interested in stay at home jobs online that will allow you to work the hours of your choosing, while giving you the income potential you need, you might be confused as to how to get started. I know I was! It took me a couple years before I found something legitimate that wasn’t a scam, and then even after I discovered what to do, I had to figure out “how” to do it.

While there are many ways to make a living online, the best way that I discovered is to become an affiliate marketer, or internet marketer. This title might sound intimidating, but after a few quick lessons on what to do you will be a pro in no time at all. Some people choose to build their own websites, some choose to use pre made blog sites like blogger.com or wordpress.com, others simply choose to write articles and post them on article directories. All of these methods will get you traffic and ultimately put money in your pocket.

Without making things too complicated, the general idea behind being an affiliate is that you write short articles (like this one) about different things, topics, products, you name it. When you partner with businesses like Amazon.com (which is very easy to do), you then can make your very own link to a product that when clicked will take the consumer to the product they were looking for; if they buy it you will earn a percentage of the sale. And the beauty of Amazon is that you make a commission on anything they buy while there, not just the product they were initially interested in.

Wouldn’t you love to work from your home online and pay off your debt or just have more freedom then you do now? When I started looking for a way to work from home I really just wanted to be able to make a little extra cash so that we could save for vacations or just have a buffer in case something happened. When I had a part-time job I made about $1000/month, after I quit that was my goal, to make at least that much using my computer.

It took awhile to learn how to do it, there were so many empty promises out there I almost gave up. But after I found Wealthy Affiliate 3 years ago I knew I had finally found exactly what I was looking for.

Now I work a little everyday towards my goal, I already bring in extra money on a daily basis and I’m confident that my effort is all it will take to make not only the $1000/month that I wanted (which I actually do make sometimes) but way more than that. I personally know people who have been able to quit their full time jobs and just work from home. It takes time to get to that level, I’m not going to lie, that is why most people give up. But if you have what it takes to work a couple of hours or more everyday, you pick when, you can build an online business as well.

The best part is that even if you take time off, like I did, many of the things you worked on keep working for you. I don’t always make the $1000/month, things online fluxuate all of the time with the seasons and what not, but overall if you stay consistent your income will too and usually will grow instead of decline. I actually took pretty much all of last year off to work on my music instead, and guess what? I still made money everyday even though I wasn’t actively building my business at the time.

Now I’m getting back into the swing of things and building off of what I already have built. The work is interesting and fun for me, and the bottom line is that you are helping people. Either by giving them information or by helping them find what it is they are looking for.

The work isn’t all that hard once you know what to do, the hardest part for most people is just staying consistent with your work. In a nutshell this is what I do: I write articles about a product, I either publish those articles on my own website or I submit them to article directories which helps increase the exposure to my website (all for free). None of the things I do to actively build my business cost me money, I only pay for hosting and domain names and those costs are very minimal. So once you find something that works for you, you have a profit fairly quickly. This is a lot better than trying to open a business that has a lot of expenses, it is hard to see your first profit in those cases.

You can write about just about anything you like, so you can find something that interests you, learn more about it and share what you’ve learned. On your website you include an affiliate link (your own affiliate link), that way if someone clicks it and buys the product you earn a commission. I also make money through Google Adsense on my websites, this is a great way to have a steady income without actually having to “make a sale”. You just need traffic in order to make that kind of money, and you get traffic by writing articles.
