Data Entry Work – The Downside of Work from Home Data Entry Jobs
If you are someone who really enjoys typing and computer work and would love to be able to do so from home for an honest paycheck, you may have tried to find online data entry work with little to no success.
While there are a few opportunities available, the options are usually not what you had in mind and pay very little for the effort you give.
The downside of work from home data entry jobs is that they usually require some professional training in order to do them, as in the case of legal or medical coding and transcription.
Often times typing alone is not skill enough to tackle these kinds of jobs and you could spend over a thousand of your own money in order to be “trained” to do them. You then have to go and find the work yourself, while entirely possible, it is just one more unpaid obstacle that you have to overcome.
Medical transcription from home can be difficult and requires some practice in order to excel at it.
Data entry work from home essentially consists of you listening to material and inputting the data, this usually requires you to have special equipment such as a foot pedal and/or headphones.
Other online data entry jobs that you may have heard of have to do with creating targeted advertisements with Google Adsense. Although I’m not sure I would call this true data entry work as there is a lot more to it then just entering data.
Many of the above types of work from home jobs are severely lacking in their income potential as well. There is a lot of hard work that goes into preparing yourself for transcription positions plus having to find your own companies to work makes it pretty hard to succeed.
